Ceredigion: Some of your local teamOur team includes a project manager, a senior independent living advisor, independent living advisors and account support workers. We provide support to everyone who receives Direct Payments in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire.

When you are interested in learning more about Direct Payments, even before you have spoken to anyone in the local authority, you can contact us and we can arrange for an initial information pack to be sent out ot you. 

If you have been awarded Direct Payments through the Local Authority, your social worker should have forwarded your details onto us, with your permission. If you haven't heard from us however, you may contact us and we will arrange for an Independent Living Advisor to come and meet you and support you to set up your Direct Payments package. We will help with everything from opening the bank account to finding someone to employ or an agency to use.

If you have had Direct Payments for a while and need some extra help with managing it, you can contact us and we will arrange for a Independent Living Advisor to come and meet you and help you with your employment matters, or we can arrange for an Account Support Worker to come and help you with your Direct Payments budget or filling in the forms to the Local Authority.

Rowan Organisation Welsh Office based in Carmarthen

As well as our Head Office in Nuneaton, the organisation has a welsh office in Carmarthen in order to provide our services bilingually. Here payroll is processed for all welsh speakers in Wales. Payroll is also provided for some non-welsh speakers in the county, and it is the hope that eventually all welsh direct payments recipients will have their payroll processed in the welsh office. However, in order to do that we need additional staffing. You will be advised by Payroll who your payroll officer is and where they are based. We also provide an information service for welsh speakers using the free phone telephone number - 0800 783 8397 - at the office.

The office is currently manned Monday to Friday 9.00am until 3.30pm, and these hours hope to be extended by June 2011 to Monday to Thursday 9.00am til 5.00pm and from 9.00am til 4.30pm on Fridays.
