Mencap seminars: Planning for the Future

If you are unsure about how to leave a loved one with a learning disability money in your will, Mencap are on hand to help. Planning for the future can make all the difference to someone's life and can provide you with peace of mind.

Mencap are to hold a series of events aimed at families and carers who wish to leave money to benefit their child or relative with a learning disability.

The free two-hour sessions offer specialist legal advice on making a will or setting up a trust to benefit someone who has a learning disability. They will offer families and carers the opportunity to get answers to difficult questions.

Direct Payments - Wales' Best Kept Secret!

So many people are unaware of the benefit of having Direct Payments and are struggling to fit into a social service care system that just doesn't work for them for whatever reason. Frequently when we meet with people just starting to have Direct Payments, they comment that they hadn't been told about it before and wish they had!

So the 3Counties team are going to local venues throughout the county to bring the information about Direct Payments to the people of West Wales.
