The DH-funded project which looked at barriers to the take up of direct payments in under represented groups has now concluded and the research outcomes are available. Details of the original project scope and structure can be found by clicking here.
At this point in time, with the exception of the Executive Summary, the Good Practice guidance reports and other documents are only available in hard copy or as an email attachment (please see below). It is hoped in the near future, that all reports will be available as documents on this web site which can be downloaded.
We have attempted to create documents that will prove useful on a day to day basis instead of publishing a lengthy report that you may not have time to digest. We have also produced a Powerpoint Presentation for commissioners and people who influence strategy. We presented this to the Association of the Directors of Social Services in 2005 and we are looking to engage other local authority senior staff who may benefit. If you feel that your authority would like to receive this presentation, please contact researchcomments@therowan.org. If you would prefer to be anonymous about your referral, please just say so in your email and we will approach discretely!
